WRITING RULES

Oral reports should include the purpose and results of a scientific work being done or done.

Oral abstracts (not more than one page) must be written in Turkish or English in the 'Microsoft Word' file (.doc-docx) version. Summaries should be saved by giving subject title, hyphen, and file name of participant's name (with lower case) (eg Dinvegenclik_acuner). Abstracts should be maximum 500 words.

The following information should be included in the title:

a. Name of the paper(notification)

b. Author's name -

c. The institution in which the author works - together with the faculty and department -

D. Communication information (correspondence address, tel, fax, e-mail)

 

ABSTRACT WRITING RULES

Margins Top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left 3.0 cm, right 2.5 cm

Font type:Times New Roman

Line spacing The header and text should be single line spacing

Title :      In a single, spaced line, the first letter of the bold and the words must be capitalized (however, taxonomic categories must be written in italics, type and  species names must start with a lower case letter). Abbreviation should not be used. The title must be a maximum of 2 lines.

Author (s):          In single line, 10 pt, author name (s) and surname (s) should be written without abbreviation. The name-surname of the author who will make the presentation must be underlined. Authors' titles should include academic titles.

Address (es) :       Centered, in single line, 10 points, different addresses must be clearly indicated by upper symbols (1, 2, ...). City names should be capitalized. At the end of Address 'Turkey' does not need to be added. e-mail address should be specified.

Heading:  The headings should consist of five sections: ‘objective’, ‘material and/or methods’, ‘findings’, ‘conclusion and discussion’ and ‘Keywords’. Subtitles should not contain subtitles. There should be no more than 5 keywords. The ‘Thank you’ section is optional and should not exceed 3 lines. The title ' sources ‘should not be included. Headings should be written in 10 points and bold.

The main text should be typed as 10 points in a single line spacing, based on two sides. Tables and figures should not be in the text. ’ Materials and methods ‘should not be longer than the section’ findings'.

Text length  : Text length should not exceed 500 words in the whole text.

Summary submission :  summaries should be sent via the www.gusem.org  web site.

Main text :In a single line spacing based on two sides, 10 points should be written as 1 cm per paragraph. Tables and figures should not be in the text.

Abstract in English: depending on the preference, an extended (500 words) abstract should be written for the papers to be published at the beginning of the manuscript.

Text Length: Abstracts should be at least 3,000 words and at most 6,000 words.
